Join us for a conversation with James Crumlin, partner at SpencerFane, IRONMAN athlete, and co-founder of Capitol Steps Workout!

The Junior Chamber's First Friday Lunch features an exclusive opportunity for both an intimate conversation with a local business leader as well as focused networking with a small group of young professionals.

James Crumlin is a lawyer by day, triathlete / coach by evenings, community engager, and Nashville ambassador to the lululemon brand. In addition to all of this, James himself is an IRONMAN athlete and makes the time to appropriately train for his own races. Crumlin co-founded and currently runs the Capitol Steps Workout, a free community workout that utilizes the steps and hills of Tennessee’s State Capitol. Voted “The Best Free Community Workout” by the Nashville Fit Magazine for the past three years, “CapSteps” is one of Nashville’s most social and best high intensity workouts for athletes of all levels.

Crumlin practices law as a partner for SpencerFane, where he is well-known as an employment lawyer committed to providing excellent legal representation for his clients. James’ experience includes union and nonunion arbitration and all forms of employment discrimination litigation. He also serves as outside general counsel to small to midsize businesses to helping his clients with business formation, strategy, funding and investor relations, real estate and leases, contracts, risk management, litigation and dispute resolution.

James also makes time to run a personalized coaching endeavor, which gives trainees a one-on-one coaching experience with Crumlin himself. In his coaching, Crumlin believes every athlete is unique. He spends time getting to know each trainee so that he can understand their individual needs and goals based on their experience level, physiological makeup, limiters, and race performance goals.

Crumlin is an IRONMAN Certified Coach and RRCA Certified Running Coach.
He has finished 8 full IRONMAN & 7 half IRONMAN races.

In this exciting First Friday, James will talk about effective time management, the importance of passion and motivation for doing the things in life that may scare you, authentic community building, and how to excel at the things in life you set your mind to, professionally and personally.

Note: The Capitol Steps Workouts (free!) are Mondays and Thursdays at 6p by the North-side steps. James personally invites everyone to come out!
