Join fellow NJC Members to celebrate our previous month and learn more about what's coming up for the NJC!

Join us February 22nd for our Monthly Membership Meeting! We will gather at The Space at 100 Taylor, where we will mingle and learn from our speaker!

Kim James currently serves as the Executive Director for Young Leaders Council, a nonprofit organization that provides training to equip and empower the next genreation of nonprofit board leaders in and around the Nashville, Tennessee community. Kim previously served as the Grant Partnerships Manager at Tennessee SCORE where she facilitated positive engagement, thoughtful communication, and strategic support for large scale donors and grant partners. Kim has extensive community relations, program management, and communications experience and prevously held similar positions with Tennessee State University, Community Foundation of Central Illinois, and Girls Scouts of Central Illinois.


Kim is a graduate of Fisk University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics before obtaining a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Tennessee State University in 2003. Professionally, Kim has been recognized as a trusted community advocate and leader, having received the 2018 Women in Leadership of Central Illinois’ Woman Leader of the Year Award. Kim is also a 2018 graduate of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership School and participated in the Young Leaders Council Nashville Class 49.


Throughout her career, Kim has built positive, lasting relationships and enjoys helping others identify, plan for, and achieve their professional and personal goals. Kim resides in the Nolensville area with her husband, Ramsey, and their three wonderful children.
